UMP RIMBA LESTARI SMART IRRIGATION SYSTEM

The smart irrigation system

The smart sensing unit used to control the pumps, which is relying on a water level sensor in the water pump and ground surrounding temperature. This smart sensing unit performs all the fuzzy logic-based pump control operations.  The proposed system has three modes of operations, i.e. the local control mode, mobile monitoring control mode, and fuzzy logic-based control mode. Power is supplied to the entire system from a power supply unit from existing power sources allocated to the Taman Rimba Lestari.

The water pump

The water pump consists of an electric motor that pumps water. The relay module acts like an electronic switch that can turn ON or OFF the water pump based on the command of the controller. The proposed irrigation system involves a water pump to supply water to the land and regulate water flow. Hence, no specific water pump is needed in the proposed irrigation system. Any size of the water pump can be incorporated into the proposed system, and it does not affect the system’s performance. Water is extracted from the lake.
