UMP towards Smart Campus

PUTRAJAYA, 12 December 2021 – Universiti Malaysia Pahang aims to become a smart campus and the implementation of this initiative is in line with government’s aspiration in strengthening digital government agenda in this country.

In line with the needs of Industrial Revolution 4.0 era, university needs to implement digital transformation towards a smart campus to remain relevant to the current needs and expectations of stakeholders.

UMP commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Initiative

KUANTAN, 22 November 2021 – Lestari Unit, Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) organised a webinar on UMP Commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Initiative under Malaysian Sustainable University Campus Network Universiti Malaysia Pahang, (MYSUN-UMP) project co-funded by Erasmus+ programme of European Union.

This replication seminar based on Training of Trainers (ToT) provides a platform for staff, researchers, academia, and UMP students to recognise the university strategies to become a sustainable and green campus based on several SDGs initiatives.

Round-table discussion: TNB’s Perspective on Supporting Sustainable Program in Malaysia

PEKAN, 28 December 2021 – Malaysian Sustainable University Campus Network Universiti Malaysia Pahang (MYSUN-UMP), in collaboration with Unit Lestari UMP, convened the second series of a round-table discussion with industry, TNB Renewables Sdn. Bhd., with the topic “TNB’s Perspective on Supporting Sustainable Program in Malaysia” delivered by the Managing Director of TNB Renewables Sdn. Bhd., Ir. Mohd Yusrizal Mohd Yusof.

The round-table discussion attracted more than 90 participants from staff and students of Universiti Malaysia Pahang, industries, and the public. The session was moderated by Aminaton Sufia Yuharmon, Assistant Research Officer of Malaysian Sustainable University Campus Network (MYSUN-UMP).

Sustainable lifestyle contributes to environmental preservation

PEKAN, 23 September 2022 – Cycling and walking are sustainable lifestyle practices that contribute to the preservation of the environment.

The Ministry of Environment and Water (KASA) became the first ministry to implement the ‘Cycling to Office’ programme which supports the government’s efforts to preserve the environment. According to the Secretary General of KASA, Dato’ Seri Ir. Dr. Zaini Ujang, it takes 10 to 15 minutes to travel to work within a radius of around 5 km in Putrajaya and he once cycled 14 km in around 35 minutes from his residence in Bangi to the office.
