Going Green with UMP’s Research & Innovation

 

KUANTAN, 22 February 2022 – The UMP Strategic Plan 2021-2025 through Strategic Objective-3 has emphasized the importance of exploring high-impact technologies that bring positive changes to the community.

Malaysia Sustainable University Campus Network Universiti Malaysia Pahang (MYSUN UMP) in conjunction with the Erasmus+Programme of the European Union is committed to supporting these strategic plan initiatives into reality.

Through the online replication seminar that has been conducted on 17 February 2022, entitled 'Going Green with UMP’s Research & Innovation', MYSUN UMP had invited their established researchers to share with the participants their latest innovative technology which has been recognized nationally and internationally towards helping the community in addition, applying elements of sustainability in their research studies.

MYSUN Project Leader, Associate Professor Ts. Dr. Mohd Rusllim Mohamed has invited Dr. Noormazlinah Ahmad from the Faculty of Chemical and Process Engineering Technology with her research entitled Hydroponics and Aquaponics with AIoT (HAIAT) in Qatar; Ts. Dr. Roshahliza M. Ramli from Faculty of Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology with her project, Intelligent Solar Irrigation System (ISIRS); and Professor Ir. Dr. Faizal Jamlos from Engineering College with his latest invention, SMART Aqua System.

This valuable opportunity has involved 70 participants consisting of students, staff, and public participants from different backgrounds study and working experience on sharing their thoughts and interacting with the panels during the session.

Hopefully, this webinar will be beneficial and inspiring to other people, especially for researchers in conducting more project innovations that apply to the sustainable elements, green technology, energy-saving, and other elements listed in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) initiatives that will help the community in changing their life to the best.

Also joining the programme were the secretariat of the webinar, MYSUN project member, Associate Professor Ts. Dr. Hamzah Ahmad, Ts. Mohd Nurulakla Mohd Azlan, and Mr. Saharudin Ramli.
